Charts from your own figures

Word can't draw this. Your insurance quote can.

Enter the figures once in the wizard and the report draws its own charts from them. It opens with an at-a-glance page so the client sees the answer before the detail. No spreadsheet to build and no images to paste in.

In the insurance quote:

  • At a glance tiles
  • Where your premium goes
  • What makes up your premium
  • What happens next timeline
  • Your own logo on the cover and every page, free
Example figures. Your report draws its charts from yours.

Before you ask

Questions about the insurance quote.

What should an insurance quote letter include?
The total payable, the insurer, the period of insurance and how long the quote is open. Then the covers, the premium breakdown, key terms and what you need before you can bind cover. Finish with the notices that apply: duty of disclosure, the type of advice, the PDS and TMD for retail products, your FSG and how to complain to AFCA. The template has a section for each.
Is a quote the same as a Statement of Advice?
No. A quote sets out the terms on offer. If you give personal advice to a retail client you also need a Statement of Advice. Use the insurance recommendation template for that. When you're showing several insurers, use the quote comparison.
Does the duty of disclosure need to go in a quote?
The client must be told about their duty before the contract is entered into (s22 of the Insurance Contracts Act) and brokers usually repeat it in the quote. Keep the s20B wording for consumer contracts or the s21 wording for others.
What are subjectivities?
Conditions the insurer needs met before or soon after cover starts, such as a signed proposal, a survey, a security upgrade or payment. The template lists them as a checklist so the client knows what to send and by when.
How do I show ESL, GST and stamp duty?
The premium breakdown has lines for base premium, emergency or fire services levy where it applies, GST, stamp duty and your broker fee. Rates differ by state and class, so take the figures from the insurer's quote. The report charts them for you.
Do I need to show remuneration in dollars?
For individuals and small businesses the Code asks for your commission and fees to be disclosed in dollars where you can. The template has lines for both.
Does it draw the charts for me?
Yes. The report draws its own charts from the figures you enter in the wizard, so there's nothing to build in a spreadsheet and nothing to paste in. They print in the PDF next to the tables they come from. Word can't do that on its own.
Can I add my own logo?
Yes, for free. Upload a PNG, JPG or WebP and it goes on the cover and every page of the PDF. Your colours, fonts and licence details come with the 14-day free trial.
Is it really free?
Yes. Fill it in, add your own logo, edit it and download the PDF without an account. The charts are drawn for you and you can email the PDF to yourself. The free PDF carries a small Prepared with Coverbound footer. A 14-day free trial removes the footer, adds your colours, fonts and AFSL details and lets you save the document for next year. No card needed.
Who is responsible for the advice in the document?
These templates are a starting point, not legal or compliance advice. You remain responsible for the advice and documents you give under your AFSL or as an authorised representative. Check each document against your licensee's requirements before you send it.
