Clients and pipeline

The CRM that fills itself in.

Every client, every placement and everything that happened. Kept up to date by the work you already do.

A placement moves along the pipeline board by itself: to Proposed when the proposal goes out, then to Accepted when the client accepts online. A bind task appears in the diary.

A pipeline that moves itself

  • New business and renewals on one board, from draft to bound
  • Each card shows how many markets were approached and how long the oldest has sat
  • Sending the proposal moves it to Proposed. Acceptance moves it to Accepted.
  • Lost placements keep the reason. Expired ones are flagged.
  • Call the stages whatever your brokerage calls them

What they hold and what they turned down

  • Held cover read from bound policies. Nothing to keep up by hand.
  • Recommended, quoted and not taken, declined or not discussed
  • The client's reason kept with the date they gave it
  • Your cross-sell list and your record if a gap is ever questioned

Pipeline reports

  • Retention by premium and by client over 1, 2 or 5 years
  • How your retention compares with the industry
  • New business against renewals
  • Win rate and what's open on the board
  • The book by class, insurer and owner
  • Why markets said no, insurer by insurer

Letters of appointment

Draft the letter, send it for signature and see it flip to signed. Prior broker and effective date kept on the client.

Owners and teams

Every client and placement has an owner. Filter the board and the diary to your work or the whole team's.

A diary you can clear

Calls, meetings, renewal reviews, market chases and X-date follow-ups, soonest first. Anything coverbound raised is tagged Automatic.

Keyboard friendly board

Drag a card or move it from the keyboard. Cards sort by expiry so the next renewal is always on top.

Commission in view

The list view shows commission by placement. Reports rank the book by commission and class.

Archived, never deleted

Clients you stop acting for are archived with their history intact.

Your whole book, imported in minutes.

Upload a spreadsheet of clients and policies, or an export from Pipedrive, Insight or Ebix. coverbound works out the columns, skips duplicates by ABN then name and shows you what will happen before it writes anything. Every policy with an expiry date goes straight onto the renewal register.

Before you ask

Questions about the CRM.

Do we have to keep the timeline up to date?
No. Questionnaires, documents, signatures and claims add themselves. You only add calls, meetings and notes.
Can we rename the pipeline stages?
Yes. Rename or hide them to match your brokerage. The automation underneath keeps working.
How do we bring our clients across?
Upload a CSV or an export from your current system. You see a preview of new clients, duplicates and policies before anything is written.
Does it work for both Australian and UK clients?
Yes. Each client carries its market, which sets the classification, the notices and the currency.

See it with your own insurer forms.
