Asset schedules
Your client's asset list, ready for the underwriter.
Clients send fleet lists, plant registers and property schedules in whatever shape they keep them. coverbound reads the spreadsheet, Word file or scan into one clean table and checks every value. Duplicates, missing values and stray currencies are flagged with the cell they came from. You check it, approve it and it goes into the submission. Next year, it shows you what changed.
Extract asset schedule
Ridgeline Civil · from Files or an upload
Excel, CSV, Word or PDF. Scanned pages are transcribed and flagged for you to check.
Any schedule, however the client keeps it
Upload the file or pick it from the client's Files. Merged headings, several sheets and scanned pages are all fine. It reads in the background.
- Excel, CSV, Word or PDF, old .xls and .doc included
- Property, motor, plant and equipment, or a mix in one file
- Unfamiliar column headings matched for you. Change any you disagree with.
- Scanned pages transcribed and marked for you to check
Checks
Plant & equipment · 38 assets
Totals exclude 1 asset with unconfirmed currency.
Checked before the underwriter checks it
Every value links back to the sheet and cell, or the page, it came from. Anything that doesn't add up is flagged beside the table, not buried in it.
- Possible duplicates, by rego, VIN, serial or address
- Missing values and descriptions
- Totals kept apart by currency and basis, never blended
- The client's own subtotals are never counted as assets
Prepare submission
Ridgeline Civil · Renewal 2027
Each schedule goes in as a table, with an Excel copy attached for the underwriter.
Approve once. Use it everywhere.
Correct a value, exclude an asset or add one by hand, then save a reviewed version. An approved version is locked, so the figures you sent are the figures on file.
- Add it to a placement and its submission in one step
- Goes in as a table, with an Excel copy for the underwriter
- Export to Excel or CSV whenever a market asks
- Every correction is logged against the original value
Changes from last year
Version 3 against version 2
Next year, only read what changed
Upload the updated schedule at renewal. coverbound lines it up with last year's version and shows what was added, removed and revalued.
- Matched on rego, VIN, serial or address. Anything unclear waits for you.
- Pick which new values should update the placement's cover
- Cover values never change on their own
- Renewals carry the schedule forward, marked for review
Built not to get a figure wrong
- Every value links to the cell or page it came from.
- A missing value stays missing. Zero is only ever zero when the schedule says so.
- Amounts in another currency are left out of the total until you confirm them.
- Readings from a scan are marked so you know to check them.
- Approved versions can't be edited. A correction makes a new version.

Before you ask
Questions about asset schedules.
- What kinds of schedule can it read?
- Property, motor fleets, plant and equipment, or anything else listed with a value. One file can hold several kinds. Each becomes its own group.
- What if the client's spreadsheet is a mess?
- That's the usual case. Merged headings, extra sheets and odd column names are handled. If a column can't be matched, it's kept and you choose what it is.
- Will it change the sum insured on the placement?
- Only if you ask it to. You pick which values to apply. Each is checked against the current figure first.
- Can it read a scanned schedule?
- Yes. Scanned pages are transcribed and every reading is marked for you to check against the page.
- How is it charged?
- Schedules up to 40 pages are read free. Longer ones use one credit per 50 pages. coverbound asks before it spends them.
