Charts from your own figures

Word can't draw this. Your renewal report can.

Enter the figures once in the wizard and the report draws its own charts from them. It opens with an at-a-glance page so the client sees the answer before the detail. Every change on last year shows in colour, up or down. No spreadsheet to build and no images to paste in.

In the renewal report:

  • At a glance tiles with the change on last year
  • Premium by class, last year and this year
  • Where your premium goes
  • How the market responded
  • Key dates timeline
  • Your own logo on the cover and every page, free

Before you ask

Questions about the renewal report.

What does ICOBS 6.5 require at renewal?
For consumers, the renewal notice must show last year's premium alongside the renewal premium, encourage the customer to check their cover and shop around and, from the fourth consecutive renewal, include the tenure message. It must also say clearly whether the policy will renew automatically. The template has a section for each.
When should a renewal report go out?
In good time for the client to make an informed decision. For consumers the FCA's renewal rules mean in practice at least 21 days before the policy ends. For commercial clients aim for a similar lead time so there's room to remarket.
Do I have to disclose commission to commercial clients?
You must tell commercial customers the nature of your remuneration and disclose the amount of commission if they ask (ICOBS 4.4). The template has a remuneration section for both.
Fair presentation or reasonable care?
Business clients have the duty of fair presentation under the Insurance Act 2015. Consumers have the duty to take reasonable care not to make a misrepresentation under CIDRA 2012. The template has wording for each, so keep the one that fits the client.
Does it help with the Consumer Duty?
It supports it with clear premium information, a check your cover prompt and a section on extra support for customers in vulnerable circumstances. The Consumer Duty is about outcomes across your whole process, so a template alone can't make you compliant.
Does it draw the charts for me?
Yes. The report draws its own charts from the figures you enter in the wizard, so there's nothing to build in a spreadsheet and nothing to paste in. They print in the PDF next to the tables they come from. Word can't do that on its own.
Can I add my own logo?
Yes, for free. Upload a PNG, JPG or WebP and it goes on the cover and every page of the PDF. Your colours, fonts and licence details come with the 14-day free trial.
Is it really free?
Yes. Fill it in, add your own logo, edit it and download the PDF without an account. The charts are drawn for you and you can email the PDF to yourself. The free PDF carries a small Prepared with Coverbound footer. A 14-day free trial removes the footer, adds your colours, fonts and FRN details and lets you save the document for next year. No card needed.
Who is responsible for the advice in the document?
These templates are a starting point, not legal or compliance advice. You remain responsible for the advice and documents you give as an FCA authorised firm or appointed representative under your FRN. Check each document against your firm's compliance procedures before you send it.
